Hampi Events

Hampi Utsav: expect Karnataka's cultural programme to bring performances and substantial visitor pressure to the heritage landscape. Check the current government announcement because dates and venues change.

Virupaksha festivals: follow current temple instructions during observances and processions. Expect access, traffic and photography rules to change, and give worshippers and ritual routes priority.

Public holidays and year-end travel: expect principal monuments and approach roads to become much busier even without a formal festival. Book essential transport early and start with the most constrained site.

Follow security and conservation closures immediately, stay outside protected fabric and use designated waste points.
