Fumiani's ceiling uses forced perspective to make its painted architecture appear to continue the real building upward, opening into a crowded, sunlit sky -- the illusion is strongest from partway down the nave rather than directly underneath it. The church also holds work by Paolo Veronese and Palma the Younger, easily overshadowed by the ceiling above them.
