Greenville’s attractions are few, close together and specific, and the town is comfortably seen in a day.
The Garst Museum is the principal one, ticketed and modestly priced, covering Annie Oakley, the treaty, Lowell Thomas and county history in a former tavern and its extensions.
Free: the courthouse square and Broadway Street, the Annie Oakley statue and memorial park, her grave at Brock Cemetery a few miles north, and the Greenville Falls and Tecumseh Point sites.
Bear’s Mill is free to walk into, with a gallery and a shop selling the flour it grinds.
Seasonal: the county fairgrounds in August, and the Amish and Mennonite produce auctions in the surrounding countryside.
A car is essential; there is no public transport worth the name.
