Sanctuary of the Madonna della Corona site features

The terrace in front of the church is where most visitors stop first: it projects over the valley and gives the view that the site is known for, straight down the Adige and across to the mountains on the far side.

A Scala Santa (Holy Stair) stands near the sanctuary, climbed on the knees by pilgrims as an act of devotion. It is in regular use, and worth treating as such rather than as an exhibit.

Inside, the devotional focus is a venerated sculpture of the Pietà — the Madonna holding the body of Christ — which gives the sanctuary its dedication and remains the object of the pilgrimage.
