Keep a little mystery in your trip planning: flip this switch on and Explorer Picture Mode shows a stylized version of every place instead of the real photo, so you can go by the description and reviews first and picture it your own way -- turn it off again any time, or reveal the real photo for just one place at a time from its own page.

A concise introduction to Seville, its geography, history and culture.

Introduction

  • The Cathedral of Seville is together with the Real Alcazar the highlight of a visit to Seville.

The Real Alcazar - the royal palace - is a unique structure, built in the 14th century in Moorish Mudéjar style (a mix of Moorish and Spanish style). This monument is a World Heritage site that you cannot miss.

The bullring of Seville, Plaza de Toros, is the largest and most famous bullring in Spain. This important arena has a rich history and is used every year in April for the “Feria de Abril' when many top bullfighters are present. Only the museum is open to the public, but you can book a guided tour to explore in detail the arena.
