Cortina's attractions are the mountains around it rather than the town itself. Corso Italia and the basilica are an hour; everything else is reached by cable car or road -- Faloria and Tofana for the views, the Cinque Torri and Lagazuoi for the war sites, and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, half an hour north, which is the image the whole range is known by.
