On the shores of the Mediterranean, Tipasa, former Punic counter, was occupied by Rome, which made it a strategic base for the conquest of the Mauritanian kingdoms. It includes a unique set of Phoenician, Roman, early Christian and Byzantine remains, bordering with indigenous monuments, such as Kbor er Roumia, the great royal mausoleum of Mauritania.

It is about 70 kilometers from Algiers, on the coast that is located this historic city that is Tipasa … It welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors each year attracted not only by its golden beaches but also by its archaeological remains which are offered to visitors, such as amber beads in a green setting.
