How to Get Around Cincinnati

A car is the usual choice, as elsewhere in the Midwest, and parking downtown is manageable and reasonably priced.

The Connector streetcar runs a loop between the riverfront, downtown and Over-the-Rhine and is free to ride, which covers most of what a visitor wants in the basin.

Walking works well from the river up through downtown to Findlay Market, which is about two miles on the flat. The hill neighbourhoods are a different matter — Mount Adams is steep enough to be a workout.

Buses cover the city and cross into Kentucky.

Ride-hailing is widely available.

The airport is in Kentucky, about twenty minutes south-west across the river, which catches people out.
