Andalusia Events

Semana Santa (Holy Week), the week before Easter, brings elaborate religious processions through Seville and other Andalusian cities, among the most significant in Spain. Two weeks after, Seville's Feria de Abril, dating to 1846 as a livestock fair and now a six-day celebration of flamenco dress, horse parades and all-night dancing in decorated marquee tents at the Real de la Feria, is the region's signature festival.

Bullfighting seasons run through spring and summer at the historic rings of Seville and Ronda, among Spain's oldest, alongside local ferias in towns across the region through summer. Confirm exact dates with each city or festival organiser before travelling, as Semana Santa and the Feria shift with the Christian calendar year to year.
