August is usually the hottest month to visit Barcelona, Spain, with almost 84 °F ( 30 °C) high temperature average. July is very close also in terms of heat. Because of these high temperatures, these two months see most Barcelona citizens go out to the coast on vacation. The best months to visit and travel to Barcelona are most likely May through mid-July and September.

In the winter, with January being the coolest month, it rarely snows since temperatures are usually kept well above freezing point ( 53°F or 12 °C). Although October can be pleasant, it is usually the month getting the most rain (2 " or 95mm) and almost doubles any other month in terms of precipitations exept September.
